Bursledon Village Hall - February 28th

First Craft Fair of the Year - Bursledon Village Hall

My first craft fair of the year was at Bursledon Village Hall on Saturday.
This was a new venue try out for me, one of many as I have another 8 more fairs to show my work at through out the year.

It was a rainy grey morning when unloading the car with all my craft bits and pieces at the hall.
I'm glad most of it was in black bags for protection against the weather!

The rain just kept on coming most of the day, this really didn't help matters as only about 60 people turned up through out the day.
Never mind I'm sure next time will be better!
It was after all a new venue site for myself and the other crafters, it always takes a while for new venues to become established in an area.

This was a bit out of the way from local shoppers, and now the law is stating no big banners over 6 feet on the sides of roads in case someone has an accident whilst reading the sign - that doesn't help matters trying to draw in potential customers driving by.

I still had a good day socially, I met lots of new crafters, I love listening to their stories on how they started out crafting and venues that they have shown at.

I met a lady who was next to my table selling jewellery called "evenstarjewellery" she makes bespoke jewellery for all occasions.  I managed to obtain some colourful stones from her for my rings and necklaces.
No money was exchanged she had 2 of my resin soap dishes that caught her eye so that was a fair exchange, can't wait to receive those in the post!

I also met a lady who's craft was sewing, she had a stall called "Crafty Panda" showing all manor of Patchwork and Quilted Gifts on her table. I asked if she could make me up a sign for my stall "artyResin" and put it onto a table cloth for me - yes she said, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that turns out.

My table all set up ready for potential customers!!
